My kids are no longer in diapers, so I technically don’t need a “diaper bag”, but I still find myself needing a lot of the same essentials I carried around before. I thought I’d be excited to start carrying cute purses, but quickly realized I much prefer a backpack to a purse! It doesn’t fall of your shoulder, it can carry a lot more than a small handbag, and it allows you to be hands-free.

So backpack it is. And I found the perfect one from Andar. It’s made of 100% Premium Full Grain Oil Waxed Leather, has quality brass hardware and zippers, features a sleek design, and has pockets and zipper pouches to help stay organized.

Use Zipper Pouches for Organization

I use zipper pouches for everything. I use them in my swim bag, for travel, and most recently to organize my games and puzzles. I love using the smaller sizes in my backpack so that different categories of things can be together (like snacks for the kids) and I can just pull out what I need instead of rummaging through everything.

Carry things that you typically need when you’re out and ditch the things you don’t use often

You always have keys and a wallet, but what about medications for adults and kids? How about a little boogie writing board or TableTopics questions for when kids are bored?

We can probably all be seen carrying hand sanitizer these days, but what about an extra face mask? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve needed that. Or a sticky note and pen to jot down a quick note.

Every once in a while it’s nice to pull everything our of your bag, clean it out, and get re-organized. And this system of using zipper pouches with a backpack has worked fabulously!

If you’re ready to take your backpack game to the next level or want to check out all of the beautiful and functional products from Andar, you can use code HOMEGROWN to get 20% off your order.
