Super Chocolatey Smoothie for Kids (+ Adults)

Getting kids to eat their greens can be a chore. But when you hide them in their chocolate smoothie, they’ll never know!

This super chocolatey smoothie for kids is just what it sounds like—an ultra chocately smoothie no kid can resist! The chocolate protein powder combined with cocoa powder adds a double layer of delicious chocolate flavor. And a dash of sea salt really makes it sing!

Really—if you haven’t tried adding a little salt to your smoothie, you’re missing out!

This is a recipe for an individual serving, but feel free to make as many portions as you want. Load up your Home & Kind kid smoothie cups with the ingredients, then store them in the freezer. You’ll have a quick, easy, and healthy breakfast for on-the-go!

How to Make this Smoothie

  • Fill kid’s smoothie cup with all ingredients except the almond milk. (Start with ice and ending with spinach.)
  • Place lid on the cup and store in the freezer until ready to blend.
  • When ready to eat, place in the blender with 1/2 cup – 3/4 cup almond milk.
  • Blend until smooth, then pour back into the smoothie cup.
  • Top with lid, straw, and enjoy!

Servings: 1

Ingredients

  • 5-7 ice cubes
  • 1/2 banana frozen
  • 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons cocoa powder
  • dash of sea salt
  • 1 handfull spinach
  • 1/2 cup almond milk (When blending only. Do not add to the cup for freezer storage.)

Instructions

  • Fill kid's smoothie cup with all ingredients except the almond milk. (Start with ice and ending with spinach.)
