My oldest daughter just started middle school and we had told her that she could wear makeup (ie a little bit of mascara) when this time came.

I wanted to make something a little special for her – especially since we all know how “fun” middle school can be sometimes.

This little pampering caddy was the perfect thing. I put some age-appropriate hygiene products from Brandless in there (that are safe and natural), along with my fave drugstore mascara, some face powder and a big makeup brush (for fun), and a bunch of great Burt’s Bees masks and lip balms.

To say she was excited would be an understatement. It was a fun way to usher in this new phase of life for her – all with products I feel great about her using.

How do you feel about preteens wearing makeup? When’s the right time to introduce it? If you’ve already been through this phase, what was your experience.  First-timer over here, so I’d love to learn from you!
