The time has finally come for the results of my joggers test!
I asked my Instagram followers to share their very favorite joggers, and they really pulled through with some awesome suggestions. I’m SO excited to share these results with you because joggers really are the best mom uniform.
I mean, what did we do before joggers were around? You can dress them up, dress them down…they’re amazing!
I spent some serious time reviewing these joggers. I ordered dozens of pairs, wore them indoors and outdoors, washed and dried them, and really put them to the quality test.
So when I say these are the BEST joggers, I mean it!
Let’s not waste any more time. Here are the absolute BEST joggers for any occasion:
I may have been a little biased toward the Athleta Venice Joggers because I’ve had them for years! But still — I’m declaring these the official winner. Compared to everything else, they stood up to the test. The fabric is thick, yoga-pant-like, but it’s more structured and feels like it could be dressed up as nice pants. The waistband is a ribbed fabric that runs down the inside of the leg and the ankle. It’s a nice detail that makes them look more dressy. The front pockets lay really nicely, and you get back pockets that are very functional and flattering. They don’t ever wrinkle, they wash and wear very well, and they’ve stood the test of time for me. I just love them!
The Vuori Performance Jogger was by far the most recommended jogger, and it’s easy to see why. Even though they’re on the pricey end, they’re insanely soft. They have that lightweight, buttery material that is just hard to beat. They hold their shape, don’t stretch out, wash and dry really well, and there’s no pilling — you get what you pay for! I would note these are a more casual jogger, perfect for lounging or running errands (but not for dressing up).
You can find the 32 Degrees Tech Fleece Joggers at Costco or on Amazon. If you’re looking for a warmer jogger, this is it! They have a lining of fleece on the inside and are more like a silky, slim pair of sweats. They have pockets, a drawstring, and are a little bit baggier. They fit great and are super comfortable, cozy, and affordable.
This brand does a lot of great dupes for more expensive leggings and workout clothes, and these Colorfulkoala High-Waisted Joggers are no exception. These are very similar to the OldNavy PowerSoft joggers, but I think I like them even more. I like the shape a little better, the fabric is a bit more structured, and I appreciate how they don’t gather as much at the waistband.
I love the swimwear and athletic wear from Albion Fit, and really like these Albion Fit Destination Joggers, which also come in petite and tall sizes. The grid pattern is really fun! The open back pockets are really flattering, the thick waistband is nice, and they’re super comfortable. These are dressier material that is a cross between a windbreaker and yoga pants. However, I like traditional yoga pant material slightly more because these are crinkly and make a swishy noise when you walk. Another fun thing about these joggers is that you can get a matching top to go with them. So cute!
Now that we’ve reviewed the winners, here are some honorable mentions that are still really good joggers.
I’ve had the Old Navy High-Waisted PowerSoft Joggers for over a year and they are amazing! They’re a great budget-friendly option that often goes on sale below $39.99. They come in petite, regular, and tall, so if you have shorter or longer legs, these would be a good option for you. The material is like a stretchy yoga pant material. There aren’t drawstrings or back pockets — just side pockets with a tapered ankle. I LOVE these joggers!
You can grab the Zella Live-In Pocket Joggers at Nordstrom in sizes XXS to XXL. These are a thick, stretchy yoga pant material similar to the Old Navy PowerSoft joggers. They have a shorter, ribbed waistband and a drawstring, pockets in front, a hidden zipper pocket, and no back pockets. They’re very comfortable, but just slightly forgettable when compared to the other 10 joggers on this list.
The Lululemon Align High-Rise Joggers came highly recommended as well. I know everyone loves Lululemon, and there are a lot of things I like about the brand too. However, I wouldn’t say these are a stand-out for me. They feel and fit more like leggings, and I’d rather have them be a little more loose. I think I’d have to size up at least two sizes to get them to fit the way I want them to. They do have a nice high waistband, thick, buttery soft Align material, pockets, and a tapered leg.
I love the Athleta Venice joggers so much, I decided to try the Athleta Trekkie North Joggers too. I was excited to give these a whirl because I love pretty much everything from Athleta. These are definitely nice, but they’re not my favorite and they don’t even make my top few. The fabric wrinkles, I don’t love the front zipper pockets, and the waist is a little too low for me. They fit nicely and could be dressed up, but they’re still just so-so for me.
CRZ Yoga is another popular Amazon brand that does a lot of great dupes. The CRZ Yoga 4-Way Stretch Joggers come in a bunch of different colors in a thick, soft yoga pant material. These have a thin waistband, front pockets, and no back pockets. These are really nice joggers. I wear them and find them very comfortable — but overall I prefer a thicker waistband and I feel like they don’t quite stack up to my top favorites.
Last but not least are the Madewell MWL Flex Skinny Joggers. These are incredibly comfortable and could be dressed up easier than some of the others. They’re a nice, high-quality fabric product. But for $90 these don’t make the top of my list. I don’t feel like they stand up to the others at this price range, and I like some of the cheaper ones better when it comes to fit and fabric.
So there you have it: 11 of the BEST joggers out there! I’m pleased to say my beloved Athleta Venice joggers continue to hold the No. 1 place in my heart. But really, you can’t go wrong with any of these joggers. They’re all cozy and well made, and the ultimate pair of pants to wear when you want to be comfortable!
