I love to cook and know how important it is to teach my kids how to cook. Since we are all spending a lot more time at home and with our kids during the COVID-19 virus, I decided to make good use of the time and work on life skills.
Kids are never too young to learn household chores and skills. Younger kids need a lot more help in the beginning, but as they shadow you, they’ll be able to do more and more on their own. I like to look at it like an apprentice/mentor model. It helps me realize that sometimes I have expectations for my kids to just know how to do things, when in reality, I haven’t taught them yet!

We’re starting with COOKING. The skills we’re practicing are:
I created videos for each skill that I shared on Instagram and I’m reposting them here as well.
I created a printable PDF that has a summary for the week, each of the things we covered, and the recipe we made on the last day. Download that PDF at the link below:
I like to hang out on Instagram and share more in-depth tutorials on everything I make, create and organize. Come be a part of our Home & Kind Instagram community!
