Hey, Home makers! Today I wanted to share my absolute favorite, no-fail recipe for homemade granola. I have used this recipe for years and years. I’ve even made huge batches and given it away as gifts. It’s always a hit and so easy to customize!
Ingredients
3 cups rolled oats
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup cashews or pecans
½ cup shredded sweet coconut
⅓ cup dark brown sugar
⅓ cup real maple syrup
⅓ cup coconut oil, melted
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup raisins/craisins
Instructions
Begin by preheating the oven to 250 degrees - we cook this low and slow!
In a large bowl, combine the oats, nuts, coconut, and brown sugar, then set aside.
In a separate bowl, combine maple syrup, oil, and salt.
Then pour the liquid over the oat mixture and stir well to combine.
Spread granola mixture onto a sheet pan and cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring halfway through to achieve an even color.
When it is finished baking (and your home smells amazing!), remove from the oven, and transfer into a large bowl. Add raisins and mix until evenly distributed.
And there you have it! It’s easy but oh so delicious!
Serve
Our favorite way to devour this granola is over yogurt with fresh fruit. It’s certainly a favorite snack! We love pairing it with Two Good Lemon Greek Yogurt and blueberries. One reason we love Two Good is because it’s a lower sugar option. With only 2 grams of sugar per 5.3oz serving, it has only 80% less than traditional yogurt. It’s so much better for you! But better yet, it’s made with rescued fruit to help eliminate food waste! There are so many delicious favors, you’ll have to try them all - just look for Two Good Yogurt at your local Target. (I know you’ll be shopping there anyway!)
