With the COVID-19 virus spreading across the world and most parents being propelled into an unexpected homeschool situation, I'm trying to develop some kind of "new normal". As great as it sounds to just throw all responsibility out the window and stay home all day eating junk and watching movies, I know our family would be grumpy and cranky after a few days of that.
So, I put together a homeschool routine. I like the idea of a routine because it gives structure, but also flexibility. There are a few blocks of time that we can fit in different subjects and activities, but we can change those things each day, as we see fit.
I'm sharing this routine as an editable PDF. You'll get one copy that is blank if you want to write in your schedule by hand. You'll also get another copy that has my text written in, but you can edit it. When you edit the file, make sure to download it and then open in Apple Preview or Adobe Reader. If you try to edit it in a web browser, you won't be able to save it and the fonts will be crazy.
A couple resources that we're also loving for homeschool are:
Art for Kids Hub on Youtube - great step-by-step drawing tutorials
K5Learning - tons of free printable worksheets for kids preschool - 5th grade
I like to hang out on Instagram and share more in-depth tutorials on everything I make, create and organize. Come be a part of our Home & Kind Instagram community!
